Humour: Persepolis

While this film is a tragic history of a recent black period in history for the poor people of Iran, this film is packed with humour and charming wonderful people who reminded us all of what should be important.

Also this film is extremely insightfully: while we all aspire to sophisticated and educated and selfless, this isn't terribly realistic and under pressure thing get messy.

The film has loads of good stuff about: some colonial history, an overview of Iranian political/religous history over last 40 years, being adolescence and  growing up, the strains of parenthood... and all beautifully animated.
